For most children, the back-to-school season is filled with excitement— new clothes, shoes, tech gear, and the promise of a new beginning. But for many kids in foster care, the start of the school year can bring uncertainty and anxiety about having what they need to feel confident and ready for the year ahead?

You can help change that.

Foster Adopt Minnesota is raising funds for our annual Back to School Shopping Event, giving children and youth in foster care the opportunity to shop for new clothing, shoes, backpacks, and other essentials before the school year begins.

More than just a shopping trip, this experience helps children build confidence, express their individuality, and walk into the classroom feeling prepared and proud. It provides a sense of normalcy and belonging during a time when so much in their lives may be changing.

Foster Adopt Minnesota serves adoptive, kinship, and foster families in Minnesota. Foster Adopt Minnesota provides online resources and referrals to therapeutic, crisis services and support groups; comprehensive education and training opportunities. We work to raise public awareness about adoption and foster care, helping to find a stable and permanent home for our Minnesota Waiting Children.
